“A simple idea that jazzes up improvisation”
Etterbeek’s Cultural Centre Le Senghor, in collaboration with Les JM de Bruxelles, initiates children and adults into the world of improvisation, starting from very simple basics and using the concept of a musical idea.
Jazz and music in general is based on this modus operandi. The musical idea is a three-note rhythm, something that can be easily recognised and reproduced and which is then developed… endlessly.
The trio offers modern jazz with strong experimental research based on improvisation and sophisticated writing that advocates autonomy, perpetual movement – and freedom of thought.
